Here is the updated company news for August. As this month comes to a close, we would like to thank all of our Prime team for working hard and staying safe. Throughout the past few months and the unique challenges that they have presented, we are incredibly proud of our team and the way that we have rallied together. Our superintendents, foremen, and journeymen have all made incredible efforts to support each other, ensure that everyone is staying safe, keep projects moving, and provide the same exceptional quality that Prime has prided itself on for over 17 years. The Prime team has been a strong, smart, and dedicated force. Thank you to everyone, from foremen and journeymen to apprentices, to project managers and estimators, and finally to our business support – accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and HR. We are glad to have such a supportive team!
September brings much promise as California begins to reopen. Hopefully, a sense normality will return and bring support for many of the businesses and industries that have suffered. According to the new tier-oriented Blueprint for a Safer Economy, as long as our counties remain in a tier with low percentages of new COVID-19 cases, regulations will continue to open. It is important for everyone to continue to stay safe and follow guidelines to ensure that the state is able to continue to reopen and people are able to stay healthy.
We understand that navigating COVID regulations can be difficult and seem daunting. Sometimes it feels like new guidelines are coming in every day and there are many controversial interpretations of the United States Government’s policy on dealing with the worldwide pandemic. The guidelines did not focus on preserving the economy by remaining open and offering support for the industries that were forced to close, nor did it focus on preserving life with a short and complete shutdown. For many people, the adapted strategy seemed to fail. The construction industry rallied and managed to pull through, but other industries and businesses took harder hits. Loved ones were placed at risk and many people’s source of income was limited. We worked hard to ensure that our team was covered and supported during these times and would like to extend a special thank you to the Payroll and HR teams!
As regulations relax and we push for a return to normalcy, it is more important than ever to come together and be sure that everyone is safe to ensure that we are able to continue on a progressive path. For the time being, we ask that you continue to stay home if you are not feeling well, social distance, wear your mask, and take your temperature. It is our goal to keep all of the Prime team supported and safe throughout this year and many more to come. We are glad to have been able to continue to bid and gather new projects throughout the entire pandemic. As the state of California and its economy continues to open, we are excited to continue to earn more projects - offering more overtime to those that want it, as well as additional other benefits. We missed the company picnic this year, as well as the Fishing raffle. Our favorite time is getting to interact with the entire Prime team and their families while having some fun! We are excited to hopefully be back to teambuilding exercises that are bigger and better than ever soon!
All in all, August offered a lot of progress and promise for the future. We are excited about what is on the horizon!
