March marked the beginning of an event that rocked the nation. COVID-19 has impacted individuals, businesses, and industries alike throughout the world. Health issues, travel bans, changes in manufacturing, supply shortages, business closures, project shutdowns, and home lockdowns have impacted everyone. During times like these, it is important that we work together and support each other to get through this difficult situation. As an organization, we must put the health and safety of our employees and our community first. We want everyone to feel supported during these uncertain times.
We have been deemed an essential business and are still operating. We are grateful that we are able to provide work for our Prime team during these trying financial times. With this being said, special safety precautions have been put in place and must be followed in order to preserve the safety of our Prime family. All nonessential personnel have been sent to work from home in order to minimize the potential spread of sickness and protect all of our employees by limiting exposure. We are limiting in-person meetings, requiring our employees to practice social distancing by keeping six feet apart at all times, employing a no-tolerance policy regarding reporting to work sick, and reminding our employees to frequently wash their hands and avoid touching their face. In addition, we have been working hard to track down and provide additional protective measures for our employees. We have ordered washable and reusable facemasks and will be issuing them to every one of our employees. In addition, we ask that our employees comply with our PPE standards, always wearing a hardhat, safety vest, long/thick pants, slip-resistant shoes, safety glasses, and cut-resistant gloves. As well as protecting you from normal on-the-job hazards, safety glasses and gloves will help minimize the spread of germs and help prevent you from getting sick. Hand sanitizers will also be provided to our employees to protect them when hand washing is not a viable option.
A statement regarding the situation and a COVID-19 Employee Guideline with new rules and regulations to protect Prime Employees will be issued. We ask our Prime team members to follow these guidelines to keep everyone safe. Our Prime leaders and Foremen will be working to ensure total compliance. We care about our Prime family and want the best for them. If we come together, we believe that we can make it through these difficult times stronger and closer together. We are incredibly proud of our Prime team and intend to do everything in our power to support you throughout these uncertain times. Thank you for all that you do and for your consideration.
