The month of May brought continued policy changes and careful monitoring of the COVID-19 situation. Several new projects started up in the San Diego and Southern California region. Our Prime teams have been working hard at keeping our projects moving forward on schedule!
The second issue of our newly launched Electrician’s Blog was released on Monday, May 11th. It covered one of the more prominent industry updates for our Structured Cabling Department — the fast-paced progress of the Internet of Things (IoT). If you remember, our first Electrician’s Blog covered how to properly study for the Electrician’s exam. New issues of the Electrician’s Blog will be posted on the Monday of the third week of every month. Be sure to tune in for electrician tips, industry updates, and more!
Memorial Day was on Monday the 25th. We hope that our Prime team enjoyed some well-deserved time off with their families and took time to remember the brave men and women that have served our country.
As always, our Marketing team is looking to highlight the Prime team and post project updates. Be sure to send in photos of yourself, your coworkers, and Prime projects to be featured on our Prime social media pages! We are very proud of our Prime family and love to show you off and give you the appreciation that you deserve. Please send in photos to Carissa at cdking@primeelectrical.net !
Employee Highlight
Having joined us in 2015, Dean Hayden is now one of Prime’s exemplary foreman. He takes the time to properly train his team, making sure the job gets done right every time. It is also his birthday in the month of June. Happy birthday, Dean! We are so glad to have you as part of the Prime family.
Up & Coming Projects
Prime has several exciting new and upcoming projects in the month of May. Coastline Church and Atec are two new projects in Carlsbad, just a city over from Prime’s home base in San Marcos, California. Kura Oncology and Sheppard Mullin, among several other projects, are set to start in San Diego, California as well. We are excited to see what our teams accomplish on these projects!
A Word from Prime

This Month’s Joke
Q: What did the light bulb say to the generator?
A: I really get a charge out of you.
Updates & Changes
The Prime Electrical Services Employee Handbook will soon be updated to include COVID-19 Policies and a strict on-the-job employee safety protocol. The policies and procedures in the updated handbook are largely the same as the 2019 handbook and Injury and Illness Prevention Program, however, some organizational information has been updated and some existing policies have been added to ensure that all Prime employees are able to easily access company information. The handbook will be located on the Employee Login Page of the website along with other important company policies, commonly used forms in fillable PDFs, and weekly safety meeting sheets.
